The Exhibition / Ekspozisyon

The information in this show is translated into Haitian Kreyòl, the first language of nearly 11 million people worldwide. Haitian Kreyòl has roots in French and influences from Portuguese, Aramaic, Spanish, West African languages, and Taíno, the language of the indigenous inhabitants of Haiti. It developed during French colonial rule through contact between European colonizers, African enslaved people, and the Taíno.
